How it all started

In September 2016, 2 students, a Spanish girl and a French boy started their master's degree in Toulouse. They are taking the same courses and they soon become friends. But nothing more for now : much like Romeo and Juliet, they have different gangs. In 2018, during their final year, they have to find an end-of-study internship, and Marta and Thomas both end up leaving to work in Lund, Sweden .

The journey there is thrilling, they packed everything they could in Thomas' tiny Suzuki and head out to the Great North. The Suzuki will unfortunatelty not survive the journey. But while the spark plugs of the Suzuki die down, another spark lights up... Soon enough, they fall in love, and Marta takes matters into her own hands and kisses Thomas for the first time.

Diploma in hand, they have a new plan : move to the Scottish Highlands ! They are hired as bar staff at the Clachaig Inn near Glencoe. There, they learn everything there is to know about proper ales and good whisky, but mostly they wander around one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Back in Toulouse, Marta and Thomas continue their adventures in La Ville Rose : they buy a van, continue to travel all over France and Europe, and eventually they even buy a house together !

But something was missing…

Until that day of April 2025. Thomas gathered his courage during a hike in Gorges de la Dourbie, and with a little help from the proverbial penguin, proposed to Marta.
